Hlavní nádraží Location
Prague main train station is located close to Wenceslas Square and National Museum in the very centre of Prague. The entrance to both the train station and the metro is from Vrchlickeho Sady, a park between Wilsonova and Opletalova streets. It is about 5 minutes walk from the upper end of Wenceslas Square.
Hlavní nádraží Metro
Hlavní nádraží station is on metro line C (the red line) between the two interchange stations, Florenc (B/C) and Muzeum (A/C). These and other nearby stations form the central area of Prague metro network.
Intervals between metro trains range from below 2 minutes during the peak and 4-10 minutes off peak. The metro operates daily from about 5 am to midnight.
Trams at Hlavní nádraží
There are also tram services at Hlavní nádraží, but the tram stop it situated at the northern end of Vrchlickeho Sady in Bolzanova Street, about 3 minutes walk from the train station entrance. Trams from this stop go to Wenceslas Square, Namesti Republiky, or Zizkov district.
There is another tram stop within 5 minutes walk from Hlavní nádraží entrance. It is Jindrisska stop in Jindrisska Street, close to Czech National Bank building and the Central Post Office in Prague. Trams from this stop also go to Wenceslas Square, Namesti Republiky, and Zizkov, and also to Florenc and Palmovka. There are slightly more lines accessible and shorter intervals compared to Hlavní nádraží stop in Bolzanova.
