Best Areas to Stay in Edinburgh
The most popular areas to stay are all located in the city centre. They are particularly the following:
- Old Town – The obvious first choice. Best area for sightseeing next to Edinburgh Castle and a number of other historical monuments. The Old has vibrant life and it is also popular with students.
- New Town – Not that it’s very new, just compared to Old Town it is – most of it dates some 200-300 years back. It also feels more organised than Old Town, and has slightly different feel to it, but can be as charming.
- West End
- Haymarket
- Stockbridge
